Fresher because it is closer!! Local asparagus is here!! So many great ways to use it. Recipes will be available in the store but here are a few ideas to inspire your menu planning this weekend:

On the stove ~ in frying pan with a little bit of water

On the BBQ ~ in a vegetable grill pan so you don’t lose them to the flames below – brush with olive oil or for more flavour use toasted sesame oil

In a stirfry ~ mix together a little oil and soy sauce and ginger

Top a pizza ~ cut into bite size pieces

Toss with pasta ~ with lemon and parmesan cheese, yum.

i must admit i am still having some trouble making the switch between facebook and a blog. FB is short and sweet. it is easy to put down a thought, jot a quick note or leave a witty (to me anyway) comment. Blogging is a big blank canvas. scary stuff. writers block stuff.
